Well iam a bit late in voicing my opinion here but i dont think you will mind if i do??
i agrre mostly with you lot that she has helped him ruin part of his career. i think he should have a new, non-controlling manager who can put things in perspective. She also couldnt have been a very good PR,PA and manager if she can't spell (emphasising on the way she spelt consolation as consulution). Thats my two cents. Oh and i hope to renew my membership, only if i can afford it and i will also be sellotaping up the pages with 'leonies DAIRY' on them

Hiya...just found this thread (I'm soooo slow lol*) and couldn't resist sharing my opinion again
As...I think it was Janie, said on the first page...I was talking to Mum about the same thing the other night, about how Leonie might have been partly responsible, maybe not for the actual SG breakup, but the animosity etc that ocurred in the fanbase later on. As you know I wasn't an active poster back then but I was hanging around as a lurker, and it was pretty freaky to see the fans split up in that way, due to the way Leonie handled the split. I think she intentionally tore the LightSiders and DarkSiders apart, and I admit it worked!! At least for a while anyway... her remarks in her own statement about the split were in most places quite unnecessary, attempting to turn everyone against Daniel and "protecting" Darren - which is something she seems to do constantly. Anyway...I digress...talking in circles again.
Something pretty interesting that just came to my mind is "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" (I have a point, honest!!) As you probably know I'm this huge fan of the series...bla bla. Anyway. There's an episode in Season Four called The Yoko Factor. It gets its name from the theories that Yoko Ono was responsible for the breakup of the Beatles, but the truth was they broke themselves up, she just happened to be there.
In the episode, I won't bore you with backstory but Spike is allied with the Big Evil of the season and he works his conniving magic on the Scooby Gang (Buffy and friends) by poisoning their minds separately, using incredible manipulation to turn them against each other without them knowing. It culminates with them arguing horribly and it almost tears their friendship apart, just because Spike planted the ideas in their heads (i.e. to Xander - Willow and Buffy said you should go join the Army, to Willow - Xander and Buffy were talking about you being gay, etc) But at the end of the day, they broke themselves up...they did it all alone and Spike just triggered that. I know I'm probably speaking in tongues for those of you who don't watch the show but I find the whole situation creepily similiar to Leonie's tactics, and the fact that it can work so easily is freaky too. I hope you get what I mean...this situation just reminded me of that.
*bla* I digress again...

I've never watched Buffy Sam, sounds rather complicated, lol!
I've always wondered how you could be totally neutral about business when you disagree with your manager who is your best friend.....my brother-in-law was in business with his best friend, ended very badly, very ugly....company went into Liquidation.

I saw that episode of Buffy and I wouldn't put those kind of tactics past Leonie.
